Daniel
Bible Story: The Three Friends in the Fiery Furnace (Daniel 3)
Bible Verse:
“The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid.” — Psalm 118:6
Story:
King Nebuchadnezzar made a huge golden statue and told everyone to bow down and worship it. But three young men—Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego—loved God and refused to bow to the statue.
The king became very angry and threw them into a fiery furnace. But God protected them! When the king looked into the fire, he saw four men walking around—the fourth looked like an angel from God.
The three friends came out of the fire safe and unharmed. The king was amazed and praised God, saying, “No other god can save like this!”
Lesson for Children:
Always do what is right, even if others don’t.
Trust God when you are afraid—He is always with you.
God is powerful and protects those who love Him.

Jonah
Bible Story: Jonah and the Big Fish
Bible Verse:
“Obey the Lord your God.” — Deuteronomy 27:10
Story:
Jonah was a man who loved God. One day, God told Jonah, “Go to the city of Nineveh and tell the people to stop doing bad things.”
But Jonah didn’t want to go. He ran away and got on a big boat. Then God sent a big storm! The sailors were scared and asked Jonah what to do. Jonah said, “Throw me into the sea, and the storm will stop.”
When Jonah was in the sea, God sent a big fish to swallow him! Jonah stayed inside the fish for three days and three nights. He prayed to God and said, “I am sorry, Lord. I will obey You.”
God made the fish spit Jonah out onto the beach. Then Jonah went to Nineveh and told the people God’s message. The people listened and said sorry to God. God was happy and forgave them.
Lesson for Children:
Always listen and obey God.
God forgives us when we say sorry.
God loves everyone and wants to give us another chance.

Malachi
Bible Story: God’s Love and Our Hearts (Book of Malachi)
Bible Verse:
“I have loved you,” says the Lord. — Malachi 1:2
Story:
Malachi was a prophet. God gave him a message to tell His people. God said, “I love you,” but the people were not showing love back to God. They were not giving their best offerings, and some were forgetting to pray or obey Him.
Malachi told the people, “Return to God, and He will return to you.” He reminded them that God wants us to give our hearts, our time, and our best to Him—not just things. God also promised that one day a special messenger would come to prepare the way for Jesus.
Lesson for Children:
God loves you very much.
We should love God back by praying, obeying, and doing what is right.
Always give your best to God — your time, your kindness, and your heart.

Micah
Bible Story: What Does the Lord Want? (Book of Micah)
Bible Verse:
“Do what is right. Love kindness. Walk humbly with your God.” — Micah 6:8
Story:
Micah was a prophet. God sent him to tell the people how to live in a way that makes God happy. Some people were doing wrong things and not being fair or kind. Micah told them, “God wants you to do what is right, to love being kind, and to walk humbly with Him.”
Micah also told the people that God would send a special King — Jesus — who would be born in Bethlehem to bring peace to the world.
Lesson for Children:
God wants us to do what is right.
Be kind to others and help those in need.
Stay close to God every day by praying and trusting Him.

🌟 Advent Service
Our Upendo Children Cell Advent Service was a joyful and meaningful time of preparing our hearts for the coming of Jesus. Together with the children, we explored the Christmas story in simple and interactive ways.
We learned about the main characters in the Nativity story—Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, the shepherds, the three kings, and the angels. Through short messages, Bible storytelling, and children-friendly visuals, we reflected on the four beautiful themes of Advent: hope, peace, joy, and love.
The children heard how the angel Gabriel brought God’s message to Mary, how an angel comforted Joseph in a dream, and how Jesus was born in a humble stable in Bethlehem. We also shared how the shepherds and the wise men came to worship Jesus with great joy.
During the service, the children participated in singing, reflection, and prayer, learning how they can show God’s love in their daily lives. We ended with a blessing, encouraging the children to carry the light of Jesus into their homes, schools, and communities.
This Advent Service was a special time of worship, learning, and celebration, reminding us all of the true meaning of Christmas—God’s love coming to us through Jesus Christ.
